About Me

I’ve been programming since I was 14 yrs old. A friend’s father taught us to program on a Dec Rainbow as a boy scout merit badge. Ever since then I have been in love with technology and the art of deconstructing a problem and putting into place a solution.

Why am I blogging?
It started as a way to track ideas and thoughts for myself. I would hash out ideas, vent frustrations, or just over all take a break from things. A friend then asked me me about blogging and if I’d share mine with her. It turned into a forum of sorts for friends to get together and just hangout asynchronously.

Now I blog for different but similar reasons: to share ideas. I still hash out ideas and explore them there, but I share them with the Internet at large. Since I have been programming I have seen the advent of the original Apple, the PC, Windows, Linux coming to its own, the web, web 2.0, and blogs. We are on the verge of yet another revolution, User Power. The only way techie types are going to survive, no thrive in this new environment is to share knowledge amongst themselves and as people like Robert Scoble have evangelized with the users as well. I wish to share my experiences and lessons that I have learned along the way. Technology is not an end to itself, but a mechanism to help people. Help them do their jobs, keep in touch, and share with others.
